Almost nothing remained of the 2 bedroom apartment.

A source in the SBU told this much to "Splinter".

As it was determined, the resident of Zaporizhye served in the National Guard, from where he took home a grenade launcher and several munitions.

That morning the soldier took a hike together with his friends. On this occasion, the younger brother of the guy decided to try the grenade launcher, which stood on the balcony, in action. Apparently, he wanted to shoot at the street, but he turned the weapon to the wrong side and the shell flew into the toilet.

From the resulting explosion miraculously neither the shooter nor his mother, who was doing chores in the kitchen, were harmed. However, almost nothing was left of the apartment.

A case was immediately initiated against the soldier for storing munitions illegally. The Khortiza regional police district runs the investigation. According to the information from certain media, the kid went into hiding, now he is wanted.

The question of why would one need a grenade launcher during a vacation (well, as for pistol or an automatic rifle – that's clear) has a quite exciting nature. Grenade launchers are no children toys, if you take a grenade launcher from a punitive operation to a vacation, please make sure that the safety is on and store in a location that is not accessible for children and idiots.

Junta Offensive: Intermediate Conclusions

July 12th arrived, which was viewed as a border date for the offensive that started on July 1st.
It can be stated that the optimistic plans of the junta leadership did not come to fruition. The DPR and the LPR continue to resist confidently, and the offensive is noticeably running out of steam and has a number of issues.
