About Strelkov's Resignation

It is announced that today following Bolotov they also removed Strelkov. The information was confirmed by Borodai http://lifenews.ru/news/138390 (in Russian). The motivation: due to taking another job.

Actually, as I pointed out already in July http://cassad-eng.livejournal.com/16909.html, the disrupted backstage talks with the Ukrainian oligarchy didn't go anywhere. Strelkov foiled them only temporarily, which explained the urgent activation of military action. But the work in this direction continued, which led to a natural result.

The resignation of Valery Bolotov from the position of the head of the Luhansk People's Republic is related with the increase of the influence of the major Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov on the future fate of the self-proclaimed republics of Novorossia. Such a version was told to the correspondent of the Federal News Agency by the source close to the leadership of the Luhansk People's Republic.
Valery Bolotov said on Thursday that he is resigning. "I made a decision to abandon the position of the head of the Luhansk People's Republic temporarily. The consequences of my wound don't allow me to work on this position at full potential for the benefit of the residents of Luhansk in this difficult military time," – he explained. Bolotov was wounded in the middle of May due to an attempt on his life. Herein the former head of the LPR emphasized that he is "not going to abandon the front". The candidacy of the current minister of defense of the LPR Igor Plotnitsky was suggested for the position of the head of the Luhansk republic.
"The resignation of Valery Bolotov from the position of the prime minister of the LPR is explained by the same reason that the resignation of Alexander Borodai from the position of the prime-minister of the Donetsk People's Republic, which happened a few days before, more precisely – by the agreement of Rinat Akhmetov and the related structures to support the project of "Novorossia", which required allocating him a "control stake of political stock" on the South-East of Ukraine," – the source told the FNA.
Simultaneously the source supposed that the rumors of wounding the minister of defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov are spread by the militia special services specifically to explain his departure from Donetsk, which, apparently, will continue at least up to the end of the current week.

And today again.

Akhmetov intends to send a humanitarian cargo into the Donetsk and Luhansk region of the volume no less than 10 thousand tons.

The businessman Rinat Akhmetov requested the Humanitarian headquarters to deliver into the Donetsk and the Luhansk region a humanitarian cargo of the volume no less than 10 thousand tons, the overall value of which is no less than 100 million UAH. This is announced by the press-service of the Humanitarian headquarters "Let's help" within Rinat Akhmetov's fund.
We are speaking about the delivering food products (no less than 6 thousand tons), means of personal care, infant food, medicine. Overall the Humanitarian shipment will be delivered from the neighboring regions with tranches on the specially equipped transshipment points in the Donetsk region, from where in will be transferred in smaller shipments to the cities and districts of the region, which need the most help. The cargo will be delivered by convoys of 100 trucks, which are capable to carry up to 2 thousand tons of aid in one go.
The first shipment is already being formed and will depart into Donetsk region approximately on August 20.
The humanitarian headquarters "Let's help" within Rinat Akhmetov's fund works on four directions: evacuating people from the zone of military action; placement of refugees; providing humanitarian aid; providing targeted aid," – says the announcement.

The PR of the old-new beneficiary has begun.
If it didn't work through their clients in Donetsk, then they went through Moscow. Sure thing, Strelkov still has other positions in the leadership of the DPR, but the apparent systemic nature of the reboot of the military and political leaders of the DPR and the LPR speaks that for the current negotiations their lack of negotiating capacity was a problem.
The argument of them being needed to be removed in order to put the locals in is somewhat absurd, considering that quite recently a Russian citizen Antyufeyev was sent  from Moscow to clean the consequences of a conspiracy in Donetsk, who is the minister of the state security of the DPR.

Of course, the departure of Strelkov implies a very powerful strike on the "party of war" as well as the appearance of Akhmetov in the current combinations. Apparently, the decision was made to lead the affairs to some sort of a collusion and "large Transnistria", which in July was a subject of bargaining with the very same Akhmetov. The injections about the "united pro-Russian Ukraine" are called to camouflage the possible public funeral of the Large Novorossia.

PS. However, it is worth taking the lack of negotiating capacity of the fascist junta into account, which is led into war by its foreign masters, so it is not at all guaranteed that talks with Akhmetov will deliver any tangible results.
